Covid Policy:

• Adults must provide proof of vaccination:
  • Your vaccination card
  • a photo of your vaccination card
  • Your Excelsior app
  • Your NYC Covid Safe app
• Masks are required for adults and encouraged for children over 2 years old.
• Temperature checks and hand sanitizing are required before entering the classroom.

Drop-in Classes for Convenience!
Come as you can, pay by the day.

Make-up Policy: Makeups must be done during the current session, and do not carry over to following sessions. You must let Moosiki know if you will miss a class prior to classtime or the class is counted as attended. Although Moosiki Kids tries to accommodate makeups whenever possible, Moosiki Kids is not responsible for missed classes--so please try to schedule makeups ASAP, in order to get them in before the end of the session! If you have requested a make-up, please do not just show up without receiving a confirmation.

Refund Policy: Students signed up for a full session can be issued a refund for unused lessons within the first week of the session. Students signed up for less than a full session can take makeup classes, but they are not eligible for refunds.

Registrations are not transferable to other students.

Visiting Sibling Policy: Siblings visiting class on a temporary basis (such as a day off from school, etc.) may "visit" class once for free and then pay-per-class, but please call or email to avoid overcrowding.

Visiting Grownups Policy: We LOVE to have grownups visit class--grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, friends, etc! And whenever possible, we invite visitors into the classroom with us! However in sold out classes, we really have limited space, so we ask that we keep it at one adult per child inside the classroom, and have visiting adults please watch from outside the classroom--we will set up chairs whenever possible to make this happen! Thanks so much for your understanding! (You can even alternate adults in the classroom during the class, and "switch off," haha! Go team!)

Full Session Sibling Discount: When signing up 2 children at once for the Full Session, you will receive 20% off for the second child! (This applies to Full Session sign-ups only.) When signing up a pre-crawling sibling aged 2-5 months, we will apply the precrawlers rate for those classes (in this case, the 20% discount does not apply.) Once the infant hits their 5 month birthday, the regular rate applies which would then include the 20% discount. There is no sibling discount for small class packs or dropins.

Free Trial Class and Policy: You are eligible for a free trial if you have never taken a Moosiki Kids class before (that means if you have taken a Moosiki class when your child was younger, or taken a class through kidpass, you are not eligible for a free trial.) Trials must let us know if they will not be attending, or we count the trial as attended.

Parents and caregivers need to supervise their children at all times. Mixed age classes can be challenging, so we need to make sure we are all aware and considerate of every student in class, to ensure we all have to most fun possible! Please note we have a "three strikes" policy--if a child forcefully engages in unsafe behavior (ie hitting, biting, etc) three times, they will no longer be able to attend class.

We ask that if your child is sick--ie runny nose, coughing, sneezing, runny eyes, rash, anything contagious, etc--that you please keep your child at home and take a makeup class. Thank you!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MoosikiKids Park FAQs

Payments must be made in advance by credit card or PayPal.

Class size in the park is limited to 10 children per class.

Free Trial classes may be taken in the park. However, you must register as space is limited to 10 students per class in the park.

Free Precrawlers Class in the Park: Attend our park precrawlers 30 minute 2-4 month class once weekly for free up until your child's 4 month birthday. At that point, if you choose to continue, you would be charged the precrawlers half-priced class rate for the same precrawlers class until their 7 month birthday, which at that time you'd move up to the older infants/ones class and pay the regular Moosiki kids pricing. We will give you these price options closer to their 4 month/7 month birthday! 
If the precrawlers class is canceled due to weather, you do not get makeups for canceled free classes (unless you've already started paying for that class after your child turns 4 months--if you've paid for class, you'd get a makeup for that class!).  If you want to attend a second day weekly, you'd pay the precrawlers rates for that class.
Once indoors, we charge for the precrawlers class (half price rates).

How can I sign up for Moosiki Kids classes in the park? Register on the Moosiki Kids website, agree to the park disclaimer, and let us know any other relevant information. Moosiki Kids will then send you a confirmation that we have a spot for you in class, and the balance due, which will be paid via PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal account or credit card.

Can I pay in cash? Currently you can pay cash for classes at indoor locations only.

What if it is too hot or too cold? We will be outside having class in all sorts of weather: drizzle, hot hot days, windy days, cool days—we will be there! It is totally at your discretion to come to class on any given day. If, for example, it is too hot for you to come to class, you can definitely stay home and take a make-up class.

What if it rains? If it is pouring or is threatening to pour, or has thunder/lightning, we will cancel class and you can take a make-up class. We have indoor locations if you would like to schedule a make-up.

How will I know if class is cancelled due to weather? We will email and/or text to your email/phone provided on your registration form in the event of a cancellation, so please provide correct contact information where you can be reached throughout the day. Please wait to hear from us--we will contact if class is cancelled. If you do not hear from us, class is going on as scheduled!

What time is best for my child? If you want to take a class with children closer to your child's age, we have suggested age ranges alongside the times listed. However, please note that these are suggested, and not mandatory! We totally understand about schedules, so whatever works best for you, works for us!

What should I bring to class?

• Blanket, perferably water resistant
• Sunblock
• Water
• Bug spray
• Hats

Are classes in the shade? Classes are always in the shade. If the shade moves, we move!

What are the class rules?

1. If your child walks/crawls away from the group, we insist that you go with them. If they prefer to listen to the music while exploring, that is fine, however since we cannot control outside circumstances in the park (bicycles, dogs, insects, etc), we insist that you are within arms reach of your child at all times.
2. Due to privacy concerns, please only take photos of your own child/children. Also, please turn off all flash and volume levels on your camera and phone, to limit distractions. (There will be plenty of other fun distractions in the park!)
3. Please keep adult conversation to a minimum while the teacher is singing/speaking. (But we can all catch up on conversing between sets, instrument of the week, etc.)
